Diane Wong, JD
Diane Wong is a distinguished conflict resolution and challenging dialogue facilitator specializing in race-related issues within mixed-race groups.
Holding a JD from Harvard Law School, Diane is a certified mediator, facilitator, and global conflict resolution processor. She brings a unique perspective to her work, having been born into a diverse family of Black, Chinese, Mexican, Irish, and Native American heritage and growing up in Cleveland's Black community during a time of segregation. Her personal experiences navigating a segregated educational system that attempted to undermine her sense of self and history fueled her lifelong commitment to pursuing racial justice through open dialogue, learning, and healing.
With a versatile background in law, conflict resolution, and yoga, Diane's multidimensional approach helps participants better understand themselves and their community. Her work promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion by guiding individuals and groups toward meaningful change. Her expertise spans cities, towns, schools, community organizations, and corporate environments, where she fosters large-scale cultural shifts.
Diane founded the Racial Justice Collaborative (RJC), a team comprising mediators, facilitators, educators, therapists, and visionaries dedicated to helping communities build awareness, create learning opportunities, and grow by processing racial feelings and beliefs. The RJC’s primary focus is assisting people to engage in difficult conversations, particularly about race. Additionally, Diane is the Co-Founder and Co-Host, alongside Pharaoh Saunders, of the award-winning multimedia show "Let's Talk About Race," which provides a platform for candid discussions about race and racism.
Diane also specializes in helping primarily white groups, such as Boards of Directors, increase their awareness of race to develop the confidence to talk about race topics amongst themselves and with mixed-race groups.
Diane's profound impact on racial justice is evident through her innovative approaches to conflict resolution and her dedication to fostering environments where open, honest, and constructive dialogue can flourish.
